A native of Hull, Québec, Pete (Pierre-Luc) has 21 years of professional baseball experience. In high school, he played baseball with the Academy of Baseball Canada (ABC) in Montreal. At age 17, he represented his country for the first time on the 18 and under Junior National Team. Pete’s professional career began in 1995 when he was drafted by the Montréal Expos. He made his Major League debut in 2003 as a catcher for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Pete had the humbling opportunity to represent Canada again in the 2004 Olympic games in Athens and in the first World Baseball Classic, held in 2006. He also played at the Major League level for the San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies.
Throughout his career Pete played in multiple countries including Venezuela, The Dominican Republic, Mexico, Australia, Taiwan, and Japan. In 2013 he began managing a professional team in the CanAm League and won his first championship as a manager in 2015.
Pete now resides in Portage, MI with his wife, Cara, and their two young sons.
Alyssa started her softball career at Eastwood Little League. Afterward, she played, where she was on varsity for 4 years and played for a few local travel ball organizations. Alyssa attended Galesburg-Augusta High School where she was on varsity as starting catcher and batted third for the Rams (freshman).

Alyssa started her coaching ambitions in 2014 at Portage Northern High School, while also giving private hitting and catching lessons.
Currently, Alyssa resides in Vicksburg, Michigan with her husband, James, and three children, Jaxon, Jayne, and Joleigh.
Alyssa is the Director of Administration here at B45 Academy and coaches our 9U Michigan team.
Andy is entering his third year as a catching trainer at B45. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 2003 and finished his Masters degree in 2009. He is currently a teacher at Portage Central High School and is also serving as the B45 Baseball Director, an 11U Head Coach, and a catching trainer.
Andy has been coaching at the high school level for 20 years in a variety of states. Accomplishments include being part of numerous championship staffs, including serving as lead assistant for the 2010 1A Arizona State Champions.

Katie Parker is a 2020 graduate from Schoolcraft High School. Due to COVID-19, her senior softball season got cut short. During her Junior year, Katie helped lead her team to their first State Finals in program history. At the end of her Junior season, Katie earned D3 All-Conference, All-District, All-State, and Honorable Mention All-Area Dream Team recognition. Katie finished her Junior season batting third, maintaining a .437 AVG, 52 hits, 51 RBIs, 48 runs, 19 walks and 8 home runs. Playing 1st base and shortstop, Parker had a .930 fielding percentage, allowing only 3 errors on 43 chances. After High school, Katie continued her softball and academic career at Western Michigan University.
Katie has prior coaching experience at Schoolcraft High School, where she was the Assistant Varsity coach for 2 years. Katie has been an assistant coach for Finesse 18u National, Finesse 16u Regional, and Finesse 18u Regional.
Katie specializes in hitting and catching lessons. She looks forward to working with the next generation to help them grow as athletes and individuals!
A native of Portage, Michigan, Mickey has a wealth of knowledge and experience of not only high-level baseball, but high-level athletics in general.
In high school, he achieved All-State honors for Defensive Back at Portage Central High School, leading the state in interceptions with 12 in 2013. He was awarded Honorable Mention All-Conference honors for baseball in 2014 as well. Mickey then attended Kalamazoo College to play Defensive Back and KR/PR. He played 2 years, 2014 and 2015.
Mickey then transferred down to Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio, where he finished out his collegiate athletic career playing 3 years of Division 2 baseball. He finished with a .322 batting average in his final year at Urbana.
Upon graduation, Mickey accepted a position as a lead hitting instructor and a coach at B45 Academy in 2019.
Mickey also earned All-Tournament Team recognition during the National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series in 2018 and again in 2023.
Savanna Disbrow graduated from Gull Lake High School in 2021 where she earned Class A/Division 1 All-Division, All-District, and All-Regional honors her senior year. She also was awarded Academic All-State honors in her Junior and Senior years. Disbrow received MLive Area Dream Team Honorable Mention and participated in the MHSAA All-Star Game as a senior. Recognized in the MHSAA Individual Record Book for scoring 8 RBI’s in a single game and 7 RBI’s in a single game. Disbrow finished her senior year batting .417 with 9 home runs, and 59 RBI’s.
Growing up, when Disbrow wasn’t pitching she was being used as a utility within the infield and outfield. After earning her associate’s degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC), she transferred to play NCAA Division II Softball for Davenport University while pursuing a degree in Sports management. Within the 2024 season, Disbrow made the start at
the shortstop position for the Panthers after never playing the position before and was able to earn All-GLIAC honors while also tying the school record of 7 RBIs in a single game.
Disbrow looks forward to training athletes to become high-commanding pitchers, versatile athletes, and players who produce power numbers offensively!

My name is Jayme Koning, and competitive softball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started my travel ball journey at just eight years old with the Kalamazoo Klash, moved on to the Kalamazoo Blitz, and ended my travel experience with the Michigan Hurricanes. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of playing collegiate softball, starting at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and finishing my career at Indiana Tech. My main positions include pitching and first base. I’m truly excited to work with B45 Academy to share my love for this amazing sport.
Coach JP has dedicated years of research and practice to developing optimal training programs for ballplayers, with a focus on pitchers. His background in medicine and interest in sports physiology provides a unique and comprehensive approach to his training programs.
He has created multiple skill-specific training programs for players of all age groups. He has coached T-Ball, Little League, high school, and travel ball teams, and trained players of all ages for over 17 years.
He is the Head Coach of the 2025 B45 Academy 16u Select team. He was most recently an Assistant Coach at Schoolcraft High School. He is a member of the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association and American Baseball Coaches Association. He is certified in Rapsodo, ArmCare Specialist, and ArmCare Pitching Biomechanist.
Collegiately JP wrestled for the CMU Chippewas where he earned his first bachelors degree in exercise physiology.
